Paper Dahlia Study, creative process!

The Cafe au Lait Dahlia is one of my all time favorite flowers and I decided to share with you my creative process!

...a step by step guide that reveals how I get from the simple paper to the finale flower.

This PDF study has more than 350 photos layered out in 86 pages, full with reveling details and know how that I developed after a lot of hours spent on research and making paper dahlias. I’ve chosen as an inspiration, the beautiful Café au Lait Royal dahlia because I love the shades of strong pink and I can show you a few painting techniques/styles  that I use most of the times.

I love making paper dahlias especially the Café au Lait type. I’ve recreated this flower many times and I’m sure you will learn something new from this material which you can use and adapt to your own work aesthetics.

I see this material not so much as a classic tutorial but more of a detailed documentation of my creative process: Introduction*About me*Important tips*Supply list*Paper measurements *Techniques (laminating the paper, painting with acrylics)*Shape the petals*Assemble the flower*Make the leaves and the buds*Assemble the flower – finale steps*Template page.

If you have bought my previous materials you will find that I use some similar techniques but with a different approach. This Study is available to purchase on my etsy shop but you can also buy it directly from me (contact me).

Happy Dahlias Everyone!
